Community Compost Drop - Off

Don't compost at home? No time, space, or energy to manage your own pile? Community Roots offers a free compost drop-off site for the community to dispose of organic waste.

Here's How It Works:

Open from dawn to dusk

Located at 1104 W. Gambier Street

Easy drive-up access for unloading

Our compost site is located just behind the large fenced-in community garden. You'll find the compost piles inside concrete barriers, accessible via a long gravel driveway.

The driveway is open to the public straight off W. Gambier Street. There are three entrances to the property, you'll want the middle one that has the mailbox next to it.

Where to Dump Your Compost:

Fresh organic waste goes in Bay 1 (the first pile)

Bays 2 and 3 are further along in decomposition, so please avoid adding new materials here
